Digital perm FAQ.
What is a Japanese digital perm?
A digital perm uses perm solution and temperature-controlled heated rods to create curls. Your cut, curl size and drying routine all affect the finish. I choose the approach after assessing your hair.
Can you perm bleached or straightened hair?
Sometimes, depending on its condition and treatment history. Please send the details first. I may recommend postponing or declining a perm if the risks are too high.
Will it look exactly like curling-iron styling?
A digital perm creates lasting curl and movement, but it does not reproduce every shape made with a curling iron. We will discuss a realistic result for your hair.
Will I still need to style my hair?
Yes. How you dry your hair affects the curl. I will explain the method and provide instructions you can review at home.
Do I need to speak Japanese?
No. I can give simple explanations in English. We can use a translation app for more detailed questions and confirm your preferences with photos.
How do I arrange a visit from overseas?
Message me on LINE, or Instagram if you do not use LINE. Share your available dates in Japan. Your hair condition will be reviewed before the appointment is confirmed.
