Digital perms are a highly technical and delicate service, and the results can vary depending on your hair type, condition, and previous chemical treatments. Because of this, clear communication and a careful consultation are very important to avoid any misunderstandings.

I take the condition of each client’s hair very seriously and always try to be as thorough and honest as possible before accepting a digital perm appointment. My priority is to make sure you fully understand the process, possible risks, and expected results before we proceed.

I understand that the following information is quite detailed, but it is very important. Please take a moment to read everything carefully.

Important Information Before Booking a Digital Perm

Please read the following carefully before making a reservation. Digital perms are a technical chemical service, and the results can vary depending on your hair condition, texture, and previous chemical treatments.

① Hair Condition & Safety

Please understand that a perm is a chemical process that changes the structure of your hair. Unlike simply styling your hair, there is always some risk of damage, especially if your hair has previously been bleached, colored, straightened, or permed.

Your hair condition is my first priority. If I believe that a perm would cause excessive damage, I may recommend not proceeding with the service.

Please feel free to use a translation app at any time if you would like to explain something or ask me a question.

② Communication & Hairstyle Consultation

I can speak some English, but listening is more difficult for me. Because our appointment time is limited, it can be difficult to have a long and detailed consultation in English at the salon.

For this reason, please send me your hairstyle preferences and reference photos by DM before your appointment.

I am still a beginner in English conversation. I would never intentionally say anything rude or disrespectful, but I may occasionally make mistakes with my pronunciation or choice of words. Thank you very much for your understanding.

For your desired hairstyle, I strongly recommend choosing reference photos from my Instagram. Simply show me the style you like, and I will determine how to create the closest possible result based on your hair type and condition.

You do not need to explain every detail in English. A reference photo is usually the easiest and most accurate way for us to communicate.

③ Treatment Time & Curl Strength

A cut and digital perm usually takes approximately 4–4.5 hours.

Different hair types and textures respond differently to digital perms, so some clients may require additional technical processes and time.

Please also understand that a haircut is necessary as part of the digital perm service. I cannot perform the perm without adjusting the haircut when necessary.

All perms gradually become looser over time. However, a properly performed digital perm can remain noticeable even after two months.

Generally, stronger curls and waves tend to maintain their shape longer than very loose curls.

④ Price & Payment

The price for a haircut + digital perm is ¥47,850 (tax included).

Payment is by credit card only.

Accepted cards:
VISA / Mastercard / American Express / JCB / Diners Club

Tipping is not customary in Japan, so you do not need to leave a tip.

⑤ Please Understand What a Perm Can and Cannot Do

This is very important.

A digital perm can create beautiful curls and waves, but it cannot perfectly reproduce the exact appearance of hair that has been carefully styled with a curling iron.

A perm and curling-iron styling are different.

If your goal is to have exactly the same perfectly controlled finish as freshly styled curling-iron curls every day, a perm may not be the right service for you.

My goal is to create beautiful, long-lasting curls that you can recreate yourself at home.

⑥ Styling Your Perm at Home

There is a technique to drying and styling digitally permed hair.

During the first one or two weeks, you may find it difficult to recreate the hairstyle perfectly because you are still learning how to dry and style your new curls.

Once you become familiar with the technique, styling should become much easier.

Please understand that getting a perm does not automatically mean that your hair will become effortless to style from the very next day.

I will explain how to dry and style your hair so that you can recreate the curls at home.

⑦ Individual Differences in Perm Results

Everyone’s hair is different.

The final result can vary slightly depending on your hair texture, condition, thickness, previous chemical treatments, and how your hair responds to the perm.

For example, the curls may turn out slightly stronger or slightly looser than your reference photo.

I will always do my best to achieve the result you want while protecting the condition of your hair.

⑧ If the Curls Are Too Loose

This is especially important for clients visiting Japan from overseas.

For my clients who live in Japan, if the perm turns out too loose, I can normally make an adjustment free of charge on another day.

However, this is often impossible for international clients who are traveling and may not have time to return to the salon.

Therefore, if I determine that the digital perm result is clearly too loose, you will only be charged 50% of the regular service price.

I will evaluate the result honestly. I do not expect you to pay the full price for a result that I believe is not successful.

⑨ Haircut & Maximum Hair Length

Damaged areas and excessively thin or fragile ends must be cut before the perm.

For this reason, I cannot accept requests to perform the digital perm while keeping all damaged or overly thin ends.

I also cannot perform a digital perm if your hair is more than approximately 10 cm below your chest.

Extremely long hair makes it significantly more difficult to achieve consistent perm results and can also make it much harder for you to recreate the hairstyle yourself at home.

⑩ Perm Results Cannot Be Guaranteed 100%

Every person’s hair responds differently to a perm.

In some cases, curls may loosen faster than expected. In rare cases, the hair may not hold the curl properly despite using the appropriate technique.

I will always do everything I can to achieve the best possible result.

However, if the perm does not hold at all, you will only be charged for the haircut.

If the perm works but I determine that the curls are clearly too loose, you will only be charged 50% of the regular service price.

I will always be completely honest with you about the result.

⑪ Products Used During the Service

I carefully select professional products based on your individual hair condition and what I believe will produce the safest and best result.

For this reason, I do not accept requests to use a specific brand or product.

I also do not provide reservations based on requests to use or avoid particular brands.

The products used during your service will be selected entirely based on my professional judgment and experience.

① Current Hair Length & Condition

Please send me clear photos of your hair from both the front and back so that I can check your current hair length and condition.

Please take the photos with your hair in its natural state — simply dried, without using a curling iron or other styling tools.

You are welcome to cover or hide your face in the photos if you prefer.

② Hair Treatment History

Have you had any chemical treatments at a hair salon within the past three years?

For example:

• Hair coloring
• Highlights
• Bleaching
• Perms
• Chemical straightening
• Other chemical treatments

If so, please tell me as much detail as possible about the treatments you received.

Please also include the approximate month and year of each treatment if you remember.

This information is very important for me to assess the condition of your hair and perform the digital perm as safely as possible.

③ Previous Perm Experience

Is this your first time getting a perm?

If you have had a perm before, please let me know what type of perm you had and approximately when you had it.

④ Your Desired Hairstyle

Please send me reference photos of the perm style you would like.

You are welcome to send as many photos as you like.

Photos from my Instagram are especially helpful because they show styles created using my own digital perm technique.

Hair characteristics and how hair responds to a perm can vary from person to person. To help me better understand your hair and choose the most appropriate technique, please let me know your country or region of origin.

This information is only used to help me better understand your hair characteristics and plan the most appropriate digital perm technique for you.

Please reply when you have a chance. As appointment availability can change quickly, your preferred time may no longer be available if there is a long delay in your response.

I ask these questions in advance because I would never want you to travel to the salon only to find out that your hair condition makes a digital perm too risky.
